Ergotron Introduces StyleView Telepresence Carts

Ergotron, a Nortek Company, recently announced the launch of a new StyleView Telepresence – powered and non-powered carts and accessory kits that are a component of the company’s commitment to provide high-quality healthcare products at an affordable price.

This new development will allow healthcare professionals and patients to connect, consult, and collaborate anywhere at any time through real-time videoconferencing. Additionally, it will help reduce the cost of improved patient care – although the field of telemedicine does provide an abundance of options and benefits for care professionals and their patients, these solutions are often very complicated and expensive.

Ergotron’s StyleView Telepresence Carts aren’t complicated or expensive – they help to facilitate the power of video consulting easily and affordably. These carts, when used along with telemedicine equipment, deliver real-time, personalized, timely, and cost-effective care as well as extending their reach to specialized experts in rural remote, underserved, and senior populations. Now these hard-to-reach experts can extend their services regardless of geographic location.

Steve Reinecke, assistant vice president of Ergotron’s healthcare sales team for North America, said, “Our healthcare customers have managed their way through extraordinary change as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) has become a standard of care platform for hospitals and clinics across the country and in some cases, the world. It is clear to see this process of electronic care delivery, with ‘Accountable Care’ and ‘Meaningful Use’ coming to the forefront of the government’s requirements, will continue to evolve for some time to come. These carts will help our healthcare customers expand their care delivery options while helping to reduce the cost of care.”

These Telepresence carts include three SLA-battery powered units and two non-powered configurations. The key benefits include hospital-grade construction including a drawer for equipment storage and a camera shelf, safety and security in a rechargeable AC power system, lightweight construction for easy maneuvering, and 20” of height adjustment for ultimate comfort sitting or standing.

"Since the early days of EMR integration, Ergotron has been at the forefront of designing a family of products which help our customers get the information they need when they need it at the point of care," said Pete Segar, group president, Display Mount Solutions (DMS). "Now with this telepresence platform, and together with our partners, we have products that can bring us into the future of telemedicine easily and affordably."
