Orion Health, a provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector, has announced the release of a new Software-as-a-Service or "SaaS" product for healthcare IT.
According to company officials, Orion Health's easy-to-use solutions and applications improve patient care and clinical decision-making by providing integrated health data in a single, unified view.
Orion Health implements health information communities involving over 30 million patients. The company has partnered with leading health system integrators and IT vendors such as Accenture, Allscripts, IBM, Oracle, Phillips and others.
Company officials said the new SaaS product will address the balance of delivering innovative healthcare IT against the needs and objectives of the NHS and a decreasing IM&T budget.
The Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine, Concerto Portal and workflow solutions enables healthcare workers to easily access patient data and trends and help them reduce errors and omissions by streamlining information transfer.
Charles Scatchard, Orion Health's president of International covering EMEA, India, North Asia and Latin America says, "With public sector cuts high on the agenda in the UK, making IT work smarter is key to delivering high quality patient care in the most efficient and cost effective way possible. Orion Health's solutions are perfectly placed to help achieve this."
Orion Health is committed to innovative healthcare IT against the needs and objectives of the NHS, company officials said. The company is sharing clinical data rapidly and safely with NHS Trusts. The new SaaS software product will increase the efficiency Orion Health in this field.
Earlier this year, the company signed a major deal in Scandinavia to provide health technology to develop a clinical desktop solution designed to simplify access to patient data and improve patient care at the hospitals in the region.
