MedPro Rx Ranked 28th among USA's Fastest Growing Companies in Triangle Business Journal


MedPro Rx, Inc. has announced that the pharmacy was named to the Triangle Business Journal’s 2011 Fast 50 Award list, ranking No. 28 among the winners. The names of this year’s winners were declared at the Fast 50 Awards dinner on Nov. 15 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham, N.C. President and Chief Executive Officer Nancy McFarlane and Chief Operating Officer Ron McFarlane accepted the award on behalf of the company.

This prestigious award evaluated by PricewaterhouseCoopers, recognizes the fastest-growing privately held companies in the Triangle area. The award has been designed to recognize the contributions of these companies toward the growth and success of the community in the preceding three years (2008-2010). MedPro Rx has been recognized by Triangle Business Journal for the fourth consecutive year, the company officials noted in a press release.

MedPro Rx is a specialty infusion pharmacy which caters to the needs of clients requiring clotting factor, IVIg and other medications for complex chronic conditions. This ACHC accredited pharmacy focuses on treatments for individuals with autoimmune neuromuscular disorders as well as rare bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease.

MedPro Rx   boasts of a quite a long honor list that includes Triangle Business Journal’s top women-owned business award in 2009 and 2010.

The company was recognized with the 2011 number one top small business in the Triangle and the number two small business in the south by Business Leader.

The company was also recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies in 2008. Inc. again honored MedPro Rx by its Inc. 5000 award in 2010 and 2011.

CFO of MedPro Rx, Mark Poteet received the CFO of the Year award from Triangle Business Journal in 2009. Also in 2009, McFarlane was a recipient of the prestigious Triangle Business Journal Women In Business award.

“I am deeply gratified that MedPro Rx has received yet another Fast 50 award. This reflects the commitment of our staff to provide top service to our customers and make sure that we accommodate all of their needs as best as possible. I want to thank all of them for their hard work in helping us win this honor for a fourth time,” McFarlane noted in a statement.

“It is quite a distinction for a company less than a decade old to win four consecutive Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 Awards. Our dedication to offering quality, convenience and confidence is reflected by this string of awards, and we appreciate the belief shown by this consecutive honor that MedPro Rx is setting the standard for specialty and pharmacy infusion care, the company’s VP of sales Brad Andrews maintained in a statement.

Earlier this month Nancy McFarlane announced that Ron McFarlane, chief operating officer for MedPro Rx, Inc has been named a board member for the North Carolina League of Conservative Voters (formerly Conservation Council of NC), a pragmatic, non-partisan advocacy organization working statewide to protect, preserve, and enhance the quality of life for North Carolina citizens.

Recently Gina Ceremuga was hired by the company as a clinical pharmacist. Ceremuga, a Pharm.D graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and previously a staff pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy, joined a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, nurses, operation and reimbursement specialists at MedPro Rx.
