Comings & Goings: Michael Morrison Will Help Pulse Systems Deliver Innovative Products to Physicians


VP Electronic healthcare management provider Pulse Systems has hired Michael Morrison as its new chief technology officer and senior vice president of product development.

Morrison, who is a technology executive with over two decades of experience, will be responsible for leading the company's technology strategy and working together with its product management, engineering and technical operations to create innovative products to be used by physician practices around the nation.

Pulse features easy-to-use and cost-efficient solutions in the areas of Electronic Health Record, Practice Management, E-Prescribing and Revenue Cycle Management. Through its solutions, physician practices can gain greater work flow efficiencies, reduce costs and achieve Meaningful Use incentives.

“Pulse offers the best portfolio of healthcare technology solutions in the industry and we have added Michael to our executive leadership team in order to continue executing our mission of delivering market-leading solutions to our clients," Pulse Systems President and CEO Jeff Burton said in a statement. “We are proud that Michael has joined the Pulse family and are confident that his vision and talent will enhance our abilities to continue to provide value-added client centric solutions.”

Before coming to Pulse, Morrison founded numerous technology ventures and was a leader in technology and product management among public and privately held companies. He has managed software solution design, development, testing and rollout of client-centric solutions such as software as a service, and has assisted organizations in designing products and implementing technologies.

In a statement, Morrison explained that he is excited to be joining Pulse at a time when the healthcare technology platform is creating countless opportunities for businesses that are adept at delivering customers value services both quickly and efficiently.

He said he looks forward to shaping the future of Pulse Systems and producing innovations for the healthcare technology industry.

Pulse seems to be gaining much success with its products, especially the Pulse Complete EHR which is considered to be one of the most robust and adaptable electronic health record systems currently on the market for healthcare providers. Just this month, the Pulse Complete EHR achieved the ONC HIT Certification which means that the company can make their products available to providers wanting to adopt health IT to show meaningful use and earn incentives.
