Comings & Goings: Richard Adair Appointed New CEO of Symbility Health

As Obamacare becomes another big-budget federal program, the healthcare industry has to adapt to the new rules and regulations the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will be introducing. Many companies across the country have been making changes in their personnel and operations in order to accommodate the ACA as well as new technologies being integrated in healthcare. Symbility Health, a health technology division of Symbility Solutions Inc., has appointed Richard Adair as new CEO to address the coming challenges in this field as the company looks towards global expansion.

Symbility Solutions provides cloud-based and smartphone/tablet-enabled claims technology for the property and health insurance industries, and Symbility Health was designed to deliver an advanced, collaborative solution to give insurers, third-party administrators and employee benefits brokers a better health claim insurance settlement experience. The platform is designed to be flexible and easy to use with a collaborative tool throughout the entire claims process workflow for reducing costs and delivering market-leading claims experience.

Before assuming this position, Mr. Adair was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Symbility Solutions Inc. During this time he integrated Marshall & Swift/Boeckh's Claims Division with Symbility Solutions as well as being instrumental in the implementation and development of the company's overall goals.

According to the company, his new position will entail Mr. Adair putting his efforts to expand Symbility Health around the world by offering the health insurance industry cloud-based and smartphone/tablet-enabled innovations.

"By leveraging the existing relationships we have with insurers on the property side and by taking our newly developed Symbility Health Claims Connect and Mobile Claims products to other business lines within their organizations, we believe we will be able to accelerate our growth in the Canadian, US and International healthcare markets," said Richard Adair, CEO, Symbility Health.

Mr. Adair went to the University of Western Ontario and graduated with Honors in Business Administration and Business Strategy. His previous experience includes: President & C.O.O. Adjudicare; Pioneering Technology Corp. Board member; and King Products Chief Financial Officer.

The Symbility Health product line includes Adjudicare, a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), which is used by employee benefits brokers, third-party administrator partners, plan members and plan sponsors to adjudicate health and dental claims across Canada, and UnionPro a web-based hour banking solution to give unions a platform where they can track their members' hour banking, benefit plan eligibility, and contribution data.
