InsureMyTrip and eHealth Partner in Providing Health Insurance at Home and Abroad

Jumping on a cruise ship to go traveling across the one of the seven seas? Perhaps you want to visit family in another country, or you are planning on seeing the beautiful architecture of a magical city. It is said that teenagers often think of themselves as invincible, but when adults travel they often act as if they think they are too. The idea of bringing health insurance may not strike most people as a good idea when traveling abroad, but one can never know if they will need it. Of course, getting health insurance for outside the country may seem to be a daunting task.

InsureMyTrip exists to make the task of finding travel insurance easier. With any purchase of insurance, there are rates that one must compare, and InsureMyTrip provides users with the ability to select their destination and compare the different travel insurances available to them. Users are able to browse through hundreds of options, with price and coverage information provided on site for comparison. Customers are able to get quotes and buy their insurance directly from InsureMyTrip’s website. InsureMyTrip touts that its service is unbiased, with quality customer service and 17,826 customer ratings and reviews.

InsureMyTrip announced on March 26 that it will be forming a strategic alliance with the nation’s first and largest private health insurance exchange, eHealth.

With the new partnership, eHealth customers will be given access to InsureMyTrip’s massive network of travel insurance. The benefits will work both ways, as InsureMyTrip customers will also be given eHealth’s network of health insurance options, and their different services that aid individuals and families in finding the right health insurance.

eHealth’s services include a broad selection of health insurance plans, and personalized advice and help through a licensed insurance agent. InsureMyTrip customers will have access to all of these services.

The partnership will benefit users of online health insurance services to feel safe in covering themselves both within the United States, and when they go abroad.
