For thirty years Gateway EDI has improved medical administration through a variety of revenue cycle management and EDI solutions to assure physicians get paid for their work. Today its parent company TriZetto announced that Gateway EDI signed Austin Medical Group as its 100,000th client.
Despite the recession and decline in health care profits, Gateway EDI managed to expand its client base 19 percent over the last year. This is likely because their systems are designed to help increase profits and claim any past due bills. Charlotte Martin, president and COO, Gateway EDI noted the company’s enthusiasm for its latest milestone. “We’re proud to say that, across America, 100,000 providers are now able to focus more on delivering quality care than on administrative issues,” she said in a press release.
“With more than 3,000 payer connections, we make payer enrollment easy for providers and quickly resolve their claims issues,” Martin added. “Our integration with hundreds of practice management system vendors means our tools easily fit into a medical office’s existing workflow. And, our highly trained team members identify and fix claims issues before they impact a practice.”
Gateway EDI and TriZetto aim to further improve payment operations in physicians’ offices around the country. The company plans to unveil a real-time payment assurance and claim editing system before the end of the year. This system will help insurers and physicians communicate in real time as to how to properly bill patients. Ultimately the company will help physicians receive payments on the spot while reducing denials.
This news comes just weeks after TriZetto announced the acquisition of NHXS to further improve its revenue cycle management. NHXS’ software is intended to further improve the existing system, while opening a new client base for Gateway EDI.
