St. Vincent Health and ARx Team to Extend Profitability

St. Vincent Health, a medical group that owns a number of facilities including hospitals, home care services and special facilities in the state of Indiana, is looking to turn one of its relationships into a long term affair and extend its profitability. The partner, ARx, will assist in the management of billing, revenue recovery and accounts receivables collections.

The two companies do have a prior relationship that began during a previous acquisition, where ARx was used primarily as operational support at St. Vincent Health’s Women's Hospital facility located in Indianapolis. Now the facility will be lending support to two new hospitals: St. Vincent Salem Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.

St. Vincent Salem Hospital is a relatively small facility, with only 25 beds located in Salem, Ind., and St. Joseph's Hospital is a much larger facility, with 186 beds, located in Kokomo, Ind. The two newest hospitals to the group will be helping the facility to learn how to work with their new third-party billing and collections services provided by ARx.

ARx's Chief Financial Officer Bill Chace had the following to say about the new aspect to the companies’ partnership: "This successful partnership we have formed with St. Vincent Health is a direct reflection of the strength of ARx's commitment to support the health care organizations' operations and deliver measurable financial improvement. We have the services needed to assist providers across the country that are proactively addressing operational efficiency through their revenue cycle strategies. Our collaborative approach will help St. Vincent fine tune its revenue cycle and provide targeted solutions to help the organization achieve its financial goals."
