ClearDATA Partners with HP to Provide HIPAA-Compliant Cloud Hosting Services

ClearDATA Networks has announced that the company has partnered with HP to provide HIPAA-compliant cloud hosting services.

Leveraging HP 3PAR Utility Storage as the storage foundation, ClearDATA will provide specialized healthcare-as-a-service and private cloud IT infrastructure services to their customers utilizing the HP Converged Infrastructure. For the 5,000 hospitals and hundreds of thousands of clinics/medical offices in the U.S. market, this new offering is designed to provide healthcare organizations with secure, compliant, and affordable cloud hosting services for EMI/Imaging, offsite backup and storage, disaster recovery and business continuity, EMR hosting, and genome research.

“We are extremely excited with our new partnership as a premier supplier of HIPAA compliant cloud hosting services utilizing HP’s superior 3PAR Utility Storage Platform,” said David Jemmett, founder and CTO of ClearDATA Networks, Inc. “The combination of our healthcare exclusive hosting services with the HP Converged Infrastructure provides a uniquely secure, robust, and affordable solution to the healthcare industry and our customers.”

To offer healthcare providers secure, HIPAA-compliant private cloud hosting services that enable them access to their applications at anytime and from anywhere, ClearDATA partners with healthcare-specific independent software vendors. Healthcare organizations currently face enormous challenges modernizing their IT infrastructures from rapidly expanding volumes of medical records and imaging data to regulatory compliance. Due to increased government regulation, operation efficiencies, cost savings, and data security standards, offsite data and application hosting has emerged as an attractive alternative to internal system management.

Recently, the company partnered with Comport Consulting Corp., a leading provider of data management and infrastructure solutions for healthcare providers, to deliver Medical Image Storage and Archiving solutions utilizing ClearDATA’s healthcare cloud platform. Because of the increasing amounts of data created by medical imaging, hospital CIOs face significant challenges managing their PACs and clinical data storage infrastructure with predictable cost efficiency.
