Leading diversified financial services firm Cowen Group, Inc. recently appointed Joshua Jennings as a Senior Research Analyst.
The New York City -based Cowen Group provides alternative investment management, investment banking, research, and sales and trading services through its business units, Ramius and Cowen and Company. Under Ramius brand, the firm offers a range of alternative investment management products including hedge funds, fund of funds, real estate funds, healthcare royalty funds, cash management and commodity trading funds. Cowen and Company offers industry focused investment banking for growth-oriented companies, domain knowledge-driven research and a sales and trading platform for institutional investors. Founded in 1918, the firm has offices located in major financial centers around the world.

Dr. Jennings received a B.A. in Biology from Yale University and his M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine. He did his residency at Harvard Medical School. In his new role, Jennings will cover cardiology and orthopedic companies in the Medical Technology sector of Cowen's Research group. Dr. Jennings will be based in New York and will report to Barry Tarasoff, Cowen's Director of Research.
Prior to joining Cowen Group, Dr. Jennings was associated with Jefferies & Company, where he was a Senior Medical Technology Analyst. In his previous role, he was responsible for covering e universe consisting of large, mid-cap and small-cap medical device companies.
Before Jefferies & Company, Dr. Jennings was the Attending Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and North Shore Children's Hospital Emergency Room.
Recently, Cowen Group announced that one of its board members, Edoardo Spezzotti has resigned from Cowen's Board effective April 27.
