Voalte Adding Reliable Clinical Resources to its UC Solution through Reseller Agreement with Epocrates

In an effort to help improve the efficiency of the care givers in the acute care hospitals, the well known provider of point- of- care software solutions for healthcare institutions, Voalté, recently signed a reseller agreement with Epocrates, the leading provider of mobile drug reference tools to healthcare professionals.

Voalté offers a unified communications solution that enables nurses and clinicians to make high-definition voice calls across the hospital VoIP system, receive critical care alarms on the iPhone, and send and receive presence-based text messages. The agreement with Epocrates enables Voalte to incorporate the Epocrates Essentials premium clinical suite into Voalté's unified communications solution package and serve its clients in acute care hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. Voalte customers now have the option to purchase the Epocrates Essentials suite from Voalté and have it installed on caregiver smartphones

As a result, the staff in these hospitals will gain access the top-ranked Epocrates premium drug, disease and lab reference resources. Coupled with Voalte’s voice, alarm and text capabilities, the trusted Epocrates clinical resources will help health care professionals take quick decisions at the times of emergencies right from their hand-held devices. This  will not only enhance patient care and safety, it will also lead to increased productivity in the health care facilities.

“Giving our hospital clients the ability to easily access the top-ranked Epocrates premium drug, disease and lab reference app with Voalté One offers many valuable benefits. By adding Epocrates' trusted content to our portfolio of voice, alarm and text capabilities, we are arming caregivers with a multifaceted resource that enables them to execute many activities from one device, enhancing patient care and safety, and increasing productivity,”  Trey Lauderdale, vice president of innovation at Voalté commented in a statement.

Earlier this year, Voalté hired former Ritz carlton Director of Quality Gigi Gray as its new user experience manager. Gray’s responsibilities involved overseeing all facets of the Voalté end-user experience including onsite program training and the development of its curriculum and materials. In a media release, Rob Campbell, Voalté's CEO, maintained that Gray will play an instrumental role in the hospital implementation process as a resource to the company's project managers and will develop training modules and best practices.
