Healthcare Technology and News: MedLink and Thrasys Collaborates for Health Record Management

MedLink, a provider of Electronic Health Records and practice management solutions has partnered with Thrasys, Inc. to offer interoperability and health record management based on SyntraNet from Thrasys, a cloud based Health Information Exchange and Collaboration Network.

The officials at Thrasys said that their solutions for healthcare are based on XNet, an open and standards based application platform that helps in building and deploying enterprise solutions based on XML services, rich internet application user interfaces, configurable workflows and rules, and interoperability.

Ray Vuono, president of MedLink said that with the latest agreement with Thrasys strengthens their ongoing RHIO community strategy and represents a key milestone in MedLink's delivery of high-value healthcare solutions on an enterprise level.

Vuono also pointed out that their SyntraNet network is a cloud based Health Information Exchange that can be deployed quickly across the service area of RHIOs, providing incredible value as the community scrambles to provide a financially sensible and scalable interoperable solution to meet the 'meaningful use' stipulations necessary to receive federal financial incentives to its member physician and healthcare organizations.

Both the companies plan to float their cloud based HIE platform in the market to Regional Health Information Organizations and Large Hospital groups as a solution for interoperability, and to provide cloud based applications that leverage both MedLink and Thrasys technologies to streamline wide spread EHR adoption.

MedLink is dedicated to creating the digital backbone for the delivery of enhanced medical services for healthcare professionals. This is achieved through a suite of network, communication, management, financial and value-added solutions that utilize MedLink Total Office and the MedLink VPN. MedLink TotalOffice integrates scheduling, patient registration, billing, document management, messaging, encounter notes, e-Prescribing and e-Labs into one practice management solution.

On the other hand, the MedLink VPN connects healthcare professionals with important information and key resources creating efficiencies to achieve optimal, real-time delivery of patient information.
