REACH to Incorporate MyMedicalRecords PHR into its Emergency Air Evacuation Program

MMRGlobal, Inc. a leading provider of Personal Health Records and electronic document management systems for healthcare professionals, and REACH Air Medical Services, provider of emergency air medical transport services recently signed a partnership deal.

Under the partnership, MMR's signature MyMedicalRecords PHR will be available to all of REACH's current and future clients and customers.

Built on proprietary, patented technologies, MMR’s MyMedicalRecords PHR enables individuals and families to access their medical records and other important documents, such as birth certificates, passports, insurance policies and wills, anytime from anywhere using the Internet.

MyMedicalRecords account includes a personal “Lifeline” telephone number that can be used by all of one's doctors and healthcare providers to fax in medical records, which are then automatically viewable in the user's password-protected online account. In order to transmit and store documents, images and voicemail messages, the solution leverages a variety of methods, including fax, phone, or file upload and does not rely on any specific electronic medical record platform.

REACH currently has approximately 15,000 members in its REACH for Life membership program. The groups and individuals belonging to this program will be offered the Personal Health Record service. The membership program covers non-reimbursed charges for emergency air medical transport services by REACH and MyMedicalRecords will be an adjunct to the members of the program, the companies clarified in a press release.

“Air ambulance services need a service such as the MyMedialRecords Personal Health Record to maintain different sets of medical records for patients. Offering MyMedicalRecords makes it easier for doctors, flight nurses and paramedics to have up-to-date health information that is accessible in one place via a secure Emergency Portal and readily available to our 24/7 communications center,” CFO of REACH Brian Karr, stated while explaining the rationale behind this partnership.

“Teaming with REACH enables us to serve a targeted group of customers with a product that can both help save lives and accelerate the recovery process,” Chairman and CEO of MMRGlobal Robert H. Lorsch explained in a statement.

MyMedicalRecords allows the users to upload and download documents and medical images directly from their computer. Each MyMedicalRecords account covers a family of up to 10 members and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Earlier, MMRGlobal announced that it entered into an agreement with UST Global, a leading provider of IT services and solutions for Fortune 500 and Global 1000 enterprises, to offer its unique MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record (PHR) to UST Global's clients and strategic partners including some of the largest healthcare providers, payers and pharmacy retailers in the world.
